GELA MP Mark Kemakeza will return to court on January 25 after his case was adjourned in the Magistrates Court yesterday.

These were in relation to the use of public funds allocated for fishing project in his constituency in 2007.

Andrew Kelesi from the office of the Director of the Public Prosecutor (DPP) said he checked Kemakeza’s office before the Christmas period and saw a memo that the office will be closed until the 18 of January.
He said he also checked with his colleague in charge of the matter and that the defence lawyer is away overseas.
The case after being stand down for some minutes to wait for the accused resumes without Kemakeza showing up.
The court also learned the defence lawyer won’t be back until later this week.
Principal Magistrate Mekeo Gauli then adjourned the matter.
