THE corruption case against Gela MP Mark Kemakeza has been adjourned to February 15 for plea.
Kemakeza is facing one count of official corruption, two counts of conversion and one count of abuse of office.
These were allegedly committed in 2007 in relation to the use of public funds allocated for a fishing project in his constituency.
His lawyer Billy Titiulu from the Pacific Lawyers yesterday asked the matter be stood down awaiting his client.
He said Kemakeza contacted him from Tulagi saying he is on his way to Honiara in an outboard motor canoe.
The matter was stood down for sometimes and resumed when Kemakeza showed up.
The court heard Mr Titiulu has received disclosures and need time to take instructions from his client.
Principal Magistrate Steve Wilson adjourned the matter to February 15 for plea.
Bail for the accused is extended.
