Renbel launches business arm

RENBEL Provincial Government last week launched the Renbel Development Authority (RBDA).

The event was seen as yet another major achievement of the present Provincial executive of Premier Timothy Johnston.

“This is an explosive move for the development of the economy of the province,” a statement issued by RBDA said.

“Failure by previous provincial leadership in establishing such an important component, a mechanism provided for within the provincial system purposely for economic development, has left the Province undeveloped economically though it has a wealth of resources and people who are willing to work to build businesses that will sustain their families.

“Because such a facility did not exist business growth was very slow if not, non-existent within Renbel Province.

“Now with the establishment of the Development Authority, people of the province who are serious about doing business can benefit from it as its main task is to develop the private sector.

“The RBDA board will venture into major economic developments such as fishing, wholesaling and shipping services.

“The board is looking forward to working with interested investors and resource owners of Renbel in its effort to get the provincial economy up and running.”
