The graduation ceremony was held between 12-14th February at Atoifi in east Kwaio where the nursing institution operated by the Seventh Day Adventist Church was located.
Reports reaching Solomon Star said that of the 25 students 10 are male while the rest are female.
Apart from the local students there are two students from Vanuatu and one each from Kiribati and Bougainville.
It was the first time for any Boungainville students to have completed a nursing at the college.
The Bougainville student Franklyn Julius Most of the students completed their diploma in nursing were from the green class.
Theme for the weekend ceremony was: God's Vision, Our Mission'. Guest speaker Frazer Reuben challenged the students with a message in line with the theme to go out to serve the people and the nation where they are going to work.
The program kicked off on Friday and concluded on Sunday with a formal graduation ceremony.
A number of parents, guardians and friends turned up for the program. Financial difficulties had forced many to cancel their trip.
Reports said the disappointing thing was no representative from Nursing Council at the Ministry of Health turned up. College Prinicipal Humpress Harrington said the students have undertaken their training in difficult times yet they managed to complete their studies successfully.
He thanked the students for enduring their time at the college while undertaking their studies.
One of the students Charles Russell from Ramata in the Wester province who is also part Malaita said having completed his studies was an achievement for him.
"Its a different stage of life for me and I'm, looking forward to putting my skills into action and to help this country," he said.
Like him, Mr Russell said most of this class mates are privately funded and to complete their studies is a proud moment in life for them and their family.
He said the graduation ceremony means another step into the world of medical field for him.
One of the first year students Trevour Roni said watching the ceremony has encouraged to be serious in his studies when taking up studies this year.
Formal academic classes for all nursing students starts next month. The ceremony also saw the award of prizes for the best students.
Dux prize wen to Melinda Dixie who topped the whole students in all the subjects. Several students got awards in nursing calculation, community health, medical surgical, family health and clinical performance.
The ceremony ended with a feast and it was a moment which came with mixed feeling of achievement and sadness.
There celebrations for completing their studies and sad part being their departure after years of being studying together.
After their graduation most of the students are in town awaiting for their appointment from the Public Service. They will now under go a one probation before being awarded the Registered Nurse (RN) title.
