THE Choiseul Province second appointed day was celebrated in some of the main communities in the province last week.
This is part of the Jackson Kiloe-led government to allow such celebrations taking place in the rural communities.
Choiseul second appointed day fell on the 25th of February which was on Thursday.
Reports reaching Solomon Star said one of the wards which celebrated the second appointed day was the Batava.
This is the second time for this particular event to be celebrated in the villages.
Previously this particular event was celebrated only at Taro, the Choiseul provincial head quarters.
The Batava ward celebrated their 2nd apointed day at four (4) different
locations, namely; Konamana, Taro, Nukiki and Moli.
Konamana, Taro and Moli, celebrated the event on Wednesday.
However, the Nukiki community celebrated the event on the 26/2/10 due to the reason that they needed the presence of their Provincial Member of Assembly Hon William Sualalu to be present during their celebration, who was engaged at the celebration at Konamana the previous day.
