Five people from Finland spent last week in the country, learning and sharing ideas with locals in various organisations.

The five Rotarians were specialists in different professions and were here with the support of the rotary club.

The only male of the five who was a heart surgeon was their team leader.

They spent the first two days in Honiara during which they visited the National Referral hospital and other places.

They went to Gizo, Western province on Wednesday and pay visits on various organisations.

The main aim of their visits was to see how locals working in their interested professions here do things.

They share ideas during their visits to organisations of their interests in the country.

They returned from Gizo to Honiara last Thursday and left the country on Friday.

The five said climate was a bit of a problem to them during their stay.

They came from Finland where the temperature is as low as -28 degrees.

One of them has severe sunburns but they expressed interest for the country.

They said it is very different from Finland but Solomon Islands have a natural beautiful environment.

They said their weeklong stay in the country was very successful, exciting and worthwhile.

They travelled to Australia as part of their ongoing tour.
