A 49-YEAR-OLD man accused of indecently assaulting a 4-year-old girl at Naha, Honiara last month, will face the court again March 29 for plea.
The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the four-year-old alleged victim is facing one count of indecent assault.
The mother of the victim was up-stairs when the alleged victim came to her and told her that her uncle, (accused) used his fingers to touch her private part.
The girl when saying that to her mother showed her four right fingers and then pointing them to her private part.
That was after the girl was having her bath at a tap outside their house.
When the mother confronted the accused he denied the allegation and said he only hugged the girl.
The accused, who is on bail, appeared yesterday in the Magistrate’s Court.
Principal Magistrates Steve Wilson ajdourned the matter and gave orders for the Prosecution to serve disclsoures on the defence lawyer by March 12.
Bail for the accused is extended.
