SOLOMON Islander Robert Iroga has completed his two-year contract with the ACP on 28 February 2010.

However, he said he was pleased to accept an offer from the new Secretary-General, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, of Ghana to extend his contract for an unspecific period as of March 3.

“I was very happy to accept the offer and I will do my very best to serve the new SG and the ACP Group as I did in the past two years under Sir John Kaputin,” Iroga said.

“It has been a very rewarding experience that can’t be expressed in words. The two years have revolutionised my life, open new pathways and bridged new unknown worlds to me,” he said.

“I would like to thank Sir John for giving me the opportunity to serve the ACP Group and Chambas for the offer to work with him for the next few months,” Iroga said.

He is currently the Press Secretary to the ACP Group, and the Secretary-General, Chambas.

He was the former editor of the Solomon Star.
