THE third series of 'Hom Blo Iumi' documentary on climate change and its impact on the country will be screened in a number of schools in Honiara soon.

The British High Commission, which funded and spearheaded the series, announced this.

The third series focuses mainly on the outcome of the Copenhagen climate change conference last year.

It will feature government officials, non-government organisations and the media raising their voices on the issue of climate change in the country.

The office said King George Sixth School will be the first school to screen the documentary to be followed by other Honiara-based schools.

Schools have been targetted to allow them see and realise the impact of climate change and its impact on the country.

Hom Blo Iumi series was launched last year in the build up to the Copenhagen meeting.

The documentary was produced by One News Limited.

The team had visited a number of provinces such as Malaita, Temotu, and Renbel.

Since last year the British High Commission had been actively involved in the climate change issue.

This has also resulted in the London office awarding two of the officials at the Honiara-based office with a recognition award for the active participation in doing a fine job on raising climate change.

The notable one is of course the Hom Blo Iumi series.

The third series is still being edited.

Once it is completed, the schools will be notified of the screening dates.
