A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was admitted at Visale Clinic yesterday after he survived what could be another fish poisoning disaster.

Edwin Lafaro from Veravaolu village in Visale and his family on Saturday went to the Central market and bought some salt fish for dinner.

When they arrived home they barbequed the fish and shared it amongst themselves.

Just few minutes after he ate the fish he started trembling with little boils all over his body.

He was rushed to the clinic and the nurses there responded to him quickly.

Villagers at Visale have called on the Honiara City Council to step up their operations in inspecting fish that are sold at the market.

“It is a very dangerous practise that could have claimed the life of the young man and therefore inspection must be taken seriously,” the villagers said.
