POLICE arrested a suspect in relation to the hit and run incident involving the hospital vehicle driver.
Acting Police Commissioner Walter Kola said a 20-year-old male has been arrested and charged.
Mr Kola said the suspect is charged with causing death by careless driving.
He said the suspect is being remanded.
The National Referral Hospital driver was found dead on the road close to the multi purpose hall on Monday night.
Off duty nurses were waiting for him to turn up for his shift that night but he failed to show up.
He was later found lying on the road with wounds to his body.
Mr Kola appeals to the public for more information.
“Investigations are continuing and if members of the public have any knowledge or witness the accident renders more information, it would really help police in their ongoing investigations.”
