Chinesse men deny sex charges

THE two Chinese men accused of organising prostitution in the country denied the allegations made against them yesterday in the Magistrate’s Court.

Local Chinese Zhu Jian Chun, 37, pleaded not guilty to one count of living on prostitution earnings and four counts of aiding prostittuion.

Co-accused Xiao Dong Luo, 28, pleaded not guilty to one count of living on prostitution earnings, four counts of aiding prostituion and one count of receiving property.

These were in relation to incidents between October 1 last year and February 2 this year in Honiara.

Both men were alleged to have been heavily involved in recruiting prostitutes from China to service wealthy Asian men visiting the country, at their residence at Panatina, Honiara, labeled as the “Blue House.”

 Chief Magistrate Leonard Maina further adjourned the matter to June 28.

He extended bails for the two accused.

Billy Titiulu of the Public Solicitor’s Office is representing the accused.

Jimmy Seuika from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution appeared for the crown yesterday on behalf of colleague Desmond Nimepo.
