MEMBERS of the public are urged to take extra care when chopping down trees near power posts and lines.
The appeal came after a Koloale resident cut a tree and fell on a nearby electric post and pulling it to the grown.
Solomon Islands Electricity Authority (SIEA) were alerted to the incident on Tuesday and said they’ll attend to it.
The authority appeal to those cutting trees to make sure they don’t cause damages to power lines or put lives of others at risk.
