PEOPLE With Disabilities Solomon Islands (PWDSI) is holding a disability workshop in Savo.

The workshop, beingheld at the Paibeta High School, started Wednesday and will end today.

Oranisers thanked Our Telekom for sponsoring the workshop.

“Our Telekom has been a continuous supporter and funder to disability activities,” head of PWDSI Savina Nongebatu said.

 “We would also like to thank Sir Allan Kemakeza for his donation towards this workshop along with ANZ, Sol Rice Ltd, and Bulk Shop.”

Ms Nongebatu said the workshop is being facilitated by PWDSI and other trainers.

“Facilitators were all recently trained under the Australian Leadership Awards Fellows.

“This workshop will see them practicing the new skills acquired.

“The workshop was targeted at raising awareness of disability issues and concerns and the role that people with disabilities must play in advocating for their issues.”
