Womens Ministry launches new webpage

The Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs has launched its new official website yesterday.

Speaking during the launching ceremony, Minister of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs Jimson Fiau Tanaganda said, having an official website is one way of addressing the issues which his Ministry face today.

He said, now that his Ministry has a website they can now promote their issues online and that they can collectively seek ways to address these issues.

Mr Tanaganda said, his is proud of the achievement in his ministry adding that the website is a great innovation which should be used for the advantage of his Ministry.

He said, as a government they are very excited about the great innovation in his ministry.

With that he said, that the website should never be about technology but the business of the government as usual.

“The new website has promoted the DDC government’s reform agenda and its vision and goal for Women, Youth and Children.”

With that he said, he wants to see the necessary capacity and capability to manage and operate the website built as a matter of priority that would relevant to their needs and as effective and influential as possible.

“It is important that when there is an access to so much information through the internet our women, youth and children have access to information that are up to date and most importantly reliable,” he said.

“I’m confident that the website will act as a resource for those we have responsibilities to serve,” he added.

He said, as the Ministry promotes a mainstreaming approach through policy implementation, he would like to see appropriate messages are sent through to other sectors, organizations, communities and their beneficiaries far and wide.

With that he said, it is important that they sensitive about information they share through the new website with others.

He said it is crucial that education awareness on women, youth, and children’s issues are persuaded as long term investment towards desired change saying that the new website has a critical role in promoting these areas.
