This was confirmed by the Police Media Unit in Honiara.
According to Police Media office said eight year old Philip Manisi Aiti reunited with his family on Saturday evening.
Police media office said the boy was found onboard MV Small Mala which arrived in Honiara on Saturday.
Solomon Star was informed that a man onboard the ship looked after him and returned him safely back to the hands of his relatives.
Police Media office said the boy is now back with his family in Mbokona.
Eight year old Philip Manisi Aiti is from Kara village in Malaita Province went missing after his relatives alerted Police when he failed to turn up on Monday last week.
He was last seen walking in a westerly direction towards the Kukum Labour line area.
