"My dream came true"

Solomon Islands female long distance runner, Sharon Firisua has done it again winning her second gold of the 2015 Pacific Games for Solomon Islands.

This time it was in the women's 10,000 metre race.

Ms Firisua clocked a time of 38:33s with New Caledonia on second and PNG on third.

Speaking to media after her race, she reiterated that its a dream come true and that she has prepared for this moment for over five years.

"It took me five years to achieve this, thank God.

"All this moment before the race I was full of confidence because I know I am ready for it," she said.

Her final event will be half marathon race.

The medal tally for gold alone is six medals.

Meanwhile Rosefelo Siosi will run the men's 5000m race today.
