INCOMING Members of Parliament are yet to take their oath but North West Guadalcanal’s newly elected MP is already delivering his promises.

Mr Dettke promised voters if he is elected, his first priority is to improve road and health services to the people.

Yesterday, his machineries were already on the Betikama Adventist College road improving the pothole ridden road.

Today, he said he will deliver medical supplies to all clinics in his constituency while other assistance program will continue in the coming months.

Mr Dettke told the Solomon Star yesterday “the time of talking is over, now is the time of action.

“Past leaders talked too much but did very little,” he said.

“We need leaders who talk less but do more,” he said.

Betikama Adventist College principal Adrian Masa thanked the new MP for his quick action.

He said the school has been neglected by past leaders and they are happy to see Mr Dettke upgrading the road just days after he came into power.

He said more than 500 students and 200 staff will benefit from the assistance.
