It’s made up of 14 winning members of the Solomon Islands Democratic Party (SIDP) and members of Liberal Party, Nasinol Pati, People’s Congress Party, People’s Alliance Party (PAP), Solomon Islands Party for Rural Advancement (SIPRA), and other independent members.
Spokesman Mathew Wale said the group is committed to forming the next government.
Mr Wale, who is MP for Aoke/Langalanga, said some of their members are yet to arrive in Honiara.
“At this time, we have a clear count of 30 members,” Mr Wale told reporters yesterday at the Heritage Park Hotel where the group is camping.
He said they’ll arrive in Honiara in the next few days.
"We have spoken to all the returning MPs and we are confident we have the numbers to form the government," he said.
"As you can see, we don't pull or lobby MPs because we don’t think this is good for the country.
“We are clearly at the front and people know the quality policies we stand for, which is responsible and sensible government.
"We are aware the other camps are trying to pull and lobby our members and we know some of the things they use to lobby and pull.
“But we believe leadership should be about a firm commitment for sensible government as suppose to pulling people around which only led to disastrous outcomes.”
The emergence of the Heritage Park Hotel camp saw the split of the camp at Pacific Casino Hotel, with head of the Reform Democratic Party Danny Philip pulling his group to the Red Mansion Motel at Panatina.
This left only Our Party and Direct Development Party at the Pacific Casino Hotel.
This latest split means there are now four camps – one each at Honiara Hotel, Pacific Casino Hotel, Heritage Park and Red Mansion.
Mr Wale said their group will elect their leader through an elimination process who will then contest the PM’s job.
Governor General Sir Frank Kabui is expected to announce the date for election of Prime Minister after the last result of Malaita Outer Islands Constituency today.
A ship carrying the ballot boxes arrived back in Honiara last night and counting will start this morning.
