She is Simaema Nielsen, who is now officially known as Miss Daltron.
Ms Nielsen, 18,was a former radio announcer for ZFM 100 in Honiara.
She is amongst 10 contestants vying for the crown this year. The winner will represent the country at the Miss South Pacific Beauty Pageant to be held in Papua New Guinea later this year.
Daltron Country Manager, Sales Marketing Tony Koraua said his company was proud to be part of this huge event.
“Daltron is the leading IT company in the Pacific region and we are proud to be one of the sponsors of this year’s beauty pageant.
Speaking to the Solomon Star, Ms Nielsen said she was proud to be Miss Daltron and looks forward to doing her best in the competition.
The Miss Solomon Islands Beauty Pageant 2010 will stage its first show on September 2.
This will be followed by a charity float parade on September 3 and the crowning on September 4.
