THE National Parliamentary Opposition Group has elected the MP for Fataleka, Steve Abana as its leader.

The MP for Temotu Vatu, Clay Forau was identified as the Leader of the Independent Group.

The election was made in their meeting held in the Office of the Opposition Leader yesterday morning.

The meeting also saw the appointment of opposition spokespersons or shadow ministers for government ministries as well as the finalisation of the group’s submission to parliament for chairmanship of parliamentary standing committees and the post of Deputy Speaker to Parliament.
