Hotel spokesperson Sandra Taneko said they took the step after seeing the need to keep the grounds of the village clean and tidy.
“The cultural village is the heart of Honiara city,” Ms Taneko said.
“It is also the venue where most of the public activities in Honiara normally take place.
“But it’s sad to see the compound in a really poor state.
“This is why we decided to take time off to clean up and remove the rubbish in there,” she said.
She added tourists visiting the country also often go there.
