They are Natasha Eddie, a form six arts student of Betikama School, and Placinda Sendersley, whose doing her third form at King George Sixth School.
Ms Eddie won the senior category and collected $700 cash with a certificate, while Ms Sendersley, the junior section. She also pocketed $700 prize money.
Ms Eddie spoke on the topic “The benefits of technology outweigh its disadvantage”. Ms Sendersley discussed the topic “Money is not the only important thing in life”.
Both speakers were outstanding in their introduction, delivery, effective use of voice and timing.
Sixteen students from eight schools in the country participated in the contest.
They are from Betikama Adventist College, Nguvia High school, Kukudu Adventist College, Tenaru High School, Bishop Epalle School, Jones Adventist College, King George 6th and Burns Creek School.
Curriculum adviser Julian Treadaway congratulated the speakers, saying all did well in their presentations.
Mr Treadaway said the presentations are clear and straight to the point on the given topics.
Other speakers received consolation prizes sponsored by Our Telekom.
