First prize is AUD500, Second prize AUD300, and third prize AUD200 for both men and women.
Westpac Bank is sponsoring the 21.1km prize money in the form of a bank account at the bank.
They have also sponsored the same in last year’s inaugural Half Marathon Fun Run.
In addition, the winner will be given airfare to participate at the Gold Coast Airport Marathon next year sponsored by Solomon Airlines.
There will also be other random prizes for the Fun run participants present at the presentation.
Other sponsors for the event are Our Telekom, SP Oil, Solbrew, Heritage Park Hotel and Visitors Bureau.
“With good prizes at stake, we are receiving a lot of local entries especially local men athletics to participate,” said Karen Foimua of Travel Solomons.
She said local women athletics are encourage to come and compete for the attractive prizes.
Last year’s winner was Chris Votu who clocked 1:18:21, while the women’s prize was won by Serah Brewster.
