A CHURCH Pastor from the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) church ministering in South Savo, Central islands has condemned social activity organized by communities during night time.

Pastor Selwyn Kouto made the criticism after a 14-year-old girl from Birasu village, south Savo was repeatedly raped over the weekend.

The incident occurred on Friday night during a dance night which was held at Birasu village .

Four men were said to have attacked the girl and take turn to rape her.

“The girl was raped when the dance progresses.

“After the dance the victim was left lying behind whilst nobody cares what’s going on”, he said.

Pr Kouto said a nurse from Leboni clinic was notified on Saturday morning when the girl was found lying at the spot bleeding.

She was then taken to the clinic where she went under medical treatment.

However he said according to the nurse the young lass couldn’t stop bleeding.

Police has been notified about the incident and are investigating the matter.

Pr Kouto claimed those who are involved in the rape include elderly men from the village.

Pr Kouto, who’s looking after the Adventist church in Savo, said such activity shouldn’t be entertained in the community.

“Community social program should be held at day-time and not night-time.

“As leaders of the church we condemn such activity to happen inside our communities,” he said.
