This is yet another achievement for the country.
Reports reaching Solomon Star said the chapel was packed to full capacity by parents, relatives, friends, visitors, sponsors and other dignitaries to witness the 28th Graduation ceremony.
A total 119 graduands received their certificates, diplomas, graduate diplomas, bachelors degrees; post graduate diplomas and master of arts degrees.
A number of parents, relatives and guardians traveled from Solomon Islands to witness the ceremony.
The ceremony was also the final graduation ceremony for the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Dr Branimir Schubert and the deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr Glyn Galo.
They were also acknowledged during the graduation ceremony by the University Chancellor and President of the South Pacific Division of SDA, Dr Barry Oliver.
Guests at the ceremony includes Sir Rabbie Namaliu, a senior PNG statesman and the Australian High Commissioner
From the twelve, only one graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Theology. He is Pr Sammy Kamona Kaipua.
Mrs Emily Biliki graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery.
Yvette Kuma part PNG & Solomon Islands graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in physics and maths.
The rest graduated with a Bachelor of Education Degrees.

Trixy McSasai (Major Geography/Minor History) - SIG
Risah Paul (Major Home Economic/Minor Industrial Technology) – Private sponsor.
Floyd Manata (Major English/Minor Business Studies) – Private/SIG.
Calvin Charles (Double majors Religious studies & Business Studies) – Church sponsor.
Johny Maui (major Religious studies/Minor Expressive Arts) – SIG.
Lyndrea Zutu (Double majors English & Home Economics) – Church Sponsor.Obed Zutu (Double majors History & Geography/Minor Expressive Arts) – Church sponsor.
Most of these have already received their calls or appointments from the Solomon Islands Mission of SDA on the same day.
Lyndrea and Obed Zutu both graduated with Merit.
Lyndrea also received the award for the highest GPA for the all the fourth year education students.
She also won the award in semester one.
