This Conference, held every two years, will be chaired by Mr. Philippe Germain, President of the New Caledonia Government, and will also host the leaders of several Pacific countries as well as certain distinguished guests.

The theme chosen for the high-level dialogue for this Conference, which will also mark SPC’s 70th anniversary, is “Innovative Partnerships for Sustainable Development”.

The presence in Noumea of several Heads of State or Governments as well as that of Mr Pascal Lamy will also provide an opportunity for a meeting between the European Union and ACP countries and the Pacific OCTs, organised jointly by New Caledonia and the European Union at SPC Headquarters.

To close out the week, SPC will celebrate its 70th anniversary with its member countries and territories and partners on Friday, 28 July.
