After a tiring but successful day two of competition yesterday which saw the young Kurukurus beat Football NSW West 7-0 and Victoria 7-1, despite going down to ACT Cobras 4-2, the young lads from the tiny island state of Solomons will have to win two remaining matches against NSW Lightning and South Australia today.
The young Kurukurus currently lie in fourth spot with a total of 12 points having won four of their matches and losing two.
Solomon Islands ranked as one of the powerhouse futsal nations in the Pacific region will go into their last two games determined to win and grab that semi-final spot and a chance to win this year’s competition.
Their classy style of play has gained them much praise amongst the futsal fans that turned up each day, cheering on the future stars of Solomon Islands futsal.
A win in each of Solomon Islands last two games will put them amongst the top three teams in the U16 category that progresses to the semi-finals tomorrow.
