Chess AGM set for Saturday

The Solomon Islands Chess Federation (SICF) will finally hold their 2012 Annual General Meeting (AGM) this weekend.


It will be held at the Solomon Islands Development Trust (SIDT) conference room in Chinatown.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 1pm.

This was confirmed by the SICF president, Toxie Polyn.

Mr Polyn urged all chess clubs in and around Honiara to attend this meeting which he described as very important.

He said it is time to settles whatever issues within the federation that needs to be addressed and look forward this year’s upcoming chess development programs.

Meanwhile the president apologized for the delay of chess meetings for the last three weeks.

He stressed that now is time for all chess clubs, players and executive members to come together and continue to build the chess games in the country.
