An official final result of the Solomon Islands inter-ministry soccer league has been released yesterday by the organizing committee.

The statistics of the results show the best four teams for both the A category and the B category.

According to Justin Mutukera of the organizing committee the A category comprises of the top finishers of the tournament and the B category comprises of the top four finishers of all the third and fourth playoffs from the pool matches.

“Category A are the teams which finished first and second in the pool matches and category B are those who finished third and fourth,” he explained.

For the category A, Police 2 finished top followed by the ministry of education, ministry of environment on third and last year’s champions, ministry of health on fourth.

Category B saw ministry of rural development finishing top, Honiara City Council on second, ministry of commerce and ministry of health 3 settles on fourth.

These eight teams are the lucky ones who made it out of the 32 teams which participated.

Meanwhile the prize presentation for the teams is scheduled for next week with a finalized date yet to be confirmed.

Mutukera said attractive prizes will out for grab for the winners including other consolation prizes.
