TN Lone netballers retain title

Defending champions TN Lone were $2000 richer after retaining their title walking away with cash and trophy during the Tuwo annual sport tournament (TAST) in Temotu province.

The tournament which began on 28th  December ended on the 31st December.

Runners up Oldies collected $1,500 while the third place went to Popolabu who walked away with $1,000.

In the soccer tourney, Vaiakau walked away with the wining trophy and $2,000 after defeating last years champions Ngaube who only settled for the second prize $1,500.

Third place went to Popolabu 3 who comfortably walked away with $1,000.

The fairest team was awarded to Bulldog with a cash prize of $250.

The four days annual sports tournament was organized by the community of Tuwo in the Reef Islands of Temotu province.

It was held at the Otepa playing ground in Tuwo village attracting a total  of 19 soccer teams and 12 netball teams.

The organizing committee of TAST would like to acknowledge the Global Investment Company Limited especially the managing director Michael Maina for the financial support in sponsoring the tournament both last year and this year.
