Tag Rugby Training this Saturday

E-mail Print

Young girls/women and boys/men who are interested to learn about how to play, coach and referee tag rugby are invited to turn up at the Panatina field coming Saturday  morning.
The program starts at 7:30am for a field coaching and training session.  The practical training sessions will be conducted by the SIRUF Development Officer and is intended to teach participants about the skills, playing methods and rules of tag rugby in preparation for a tag rugby competition later in the year.

Tag rugby is very similar to tackle rugby, except that it does not include the tackle.
It is the next learning step towards playing the actual game and the code is used to introduce people who are new to rugby, but are keen to learn more and/or are prepared to play rugby tackle later in life or in the future, to the basics of this (rugby) exiting sport.

The SIRUF Development Department is encouraging girls from last year, any interested new ones and boys/men who wish to learn about the code to come along to Panatina field this Saturday to play and learn more about this code.
