Beach Boys Blue was $4000 richer yesterday after scoping the DJ Graphic beach soccer code Red tournament at DC Park yesterday.
They defeated rival Koloale FC 4-2 in the grandfinal. Both team on Friday qualified to the semifinal and met again on the grandfinal after wining their semifinal play off.
Beach Boys Blue which up from boys from Mataniko water front dorminated the tournament with the support of good numbers of supporters.
Their second team Beach Boys White overthrow experience side Kossa 5-2.
Kossa allthough they got the experience was not able to contain Beach Boys White who were younger and very fit.
Koloale FC manages to make it to the final and went home with $2000 vouchers sponsored by the Queen Chee Motors. Second Runner up Beach Boys White receives $1000 gifts of vouchers.
The golden foot of the tournament was awarded to Beach Boys Blue Michael Misita for scoring the 15 goals. He receives $300 cash.
Chairman of the Selection of the selection committee Leonard Paia said he was happy to see more young talented players during the tournament.
He said his committee will come up list of selected players for Honiara Squad for the National Beach Championship set for April. Sponsor DJ Graphic also awarded each team with certificate of recognition for their participation.
