Solomon Islands has produced its first male netball coach thanks to Netball New Zealand.
Jamie Kerry who had undergone netball coaching training in New Zealand.
Wai Taumaunu netball New Zealand Coach Force said the Solomon Island male who visited New Zealand as a netball coach force, has qualified for modules certificate to become a provisional coach for netball.
“Jamie Kerry is 30 years old has received a recognized certificate for all the netball modules,”she said.
Mr Kerry received a top award during the practical assessment from the Assistance Coach for the Silver Fern, Miss Wai Taumaunu.
Miss Taumaunu said Jamie is a real module to help his country Solomon Islands in the future with a game of netball.
The certificate of recognition means Mr Kerry can coach netball teams in New Zealand and Solomon Islands.
