TRIALS for the selection of the Solomon Islands Senior National Women’s Team will begin on Thursday.
The Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Women’s Development Officer, Diane Justus, made the announcement today.
Justus said that all players named in the trials list are called to turn up for the program which starts on Thursday 29th April, 2010.
The trials will be held at the SIFF Academy.
“We will start the trials on Thursday so I urge all players to turn up,” Justus said.
The list of players for the national team trials has also been changed with an additional 10 players being included in the list. These changes were made by Head Coach Timothy Inifiri after observations in the Honiara Women’s Football League.
The Senior National Women’s Team is scheduled to participate in the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Women’s Nations Cup in September this year.
The selected team will be kept together to prepare for the Pacific Games in 2011.
