THE Hekari United management are still yet to decide whether they will release their four Solomon Island imports to support their local clubs in the National Club Championships in Honiara this month.

Locals Henry Fa’arodo, Stanley Waita, Alick Mamae and Gideon Omokirio although off international duties are still part of Hekari under the International Transfer Contract (ITC) with the PNG champions.

Team Manageress Vonnie Kapi-Natto told a press conference yesterday that she would love to see the boys go back and help their respective clubs but if the contract does not allow they would not be releasing the players.

“It’s something we have to sort out with FIFA and OFC because we don’t want to risk consequences that may affect their transfer contracts with Hekari”, she said.

Kapi-Natto added that it was also important to remain focus on the preparations towards the World Club Championships in Dubai and the club’s priorities would be keeping their players injury-free leading up to the tournament in December.

Meanwhile, Fa’arodo told Star Sport that Koloale FC has consulted him to help them in the club championships this month but said the decision would come from Hekari management.

Solomon Star understands that international transfer contract could only be made possible two times a year.

However, if our local players are transferred back to their original clubs and then back to Hekari for the World Club Championships it would be three transfers in a year exceeding the normal FIFA transfer regulations.
