Waitekere release Totori to help Koloale FC in O’ League

SOLOMON Islands most prolific football star Benjamin Totori has secured an International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from Waitekere United to play for Koloale FC in the upcoming O’ League tournament in October.

This means he has been given the green light to feature with the country’s champions Koloale FC in the next season.

The Koloale Management this week confirmed to star sports that an ITC has already been sent to them.

“We have received an ITC from Totori’s club Waitekere and this is good news for the team”, he said.

Totori have been instrumental after playing as a guest player for Koloale in May during the National Club Championships, leading Koloale FC to victory and also cementing his place as the country’s most fancied soccer player snatching the golden boot prize with a total of 11 goals.

Totori yesterday also confirmed to Star Sports his transfer from Waitekere to Koloale FC.

He told star sports that although he was still sitting on the fence over his decision to play with Koloale for unknown reasons, he said was sure that he would feature for Koloale FC.

“I’m sure that I will play with Koloale FC in the next O’ League season and this is a decision I have yet  to be certain about”, he said.

He added that the reason he chose to remain with Koloale was because of the combination of a lot of young players now playing for the local team.

“The team has a lot of potential and they can go further”, he said.

“Koloale has young upcoming players and I really admire their style of play”, Totori added.

Totori is currently attending training with Koloale FC at the AE Oval ahead of their first match with Fiji soccer powerhouse Lautoka FC on the 23rd of October this year.

Their second match will against current OFC champions Hekari United in their second match in Port Moresby on Saturday 13th of November.

Then Koloale’s third match will be against Vanuatu champions Amical FC in Port Vila on the 4th of December.

Meanwhile, Koloale FC management have also confirmed Papua New Guinea’s Eastern Stars import and local player Timothy Joe as their latest signing apart from Totori.

The team management said they have already eyed a lot of potential players to join their camp but they are yet to release their names.
