FORMER Koloale FC sneaky winger Henry Fa’arodo Junior has pledged his allegiance to remain with Papua New Guinea champions Hekari United for the O’ League season.

Fa’arodo has finally made a decision after months of hard long thoughts and talks with friends and families as to wether he would remain with Hekari or return to Koloale FC for this years O’ League season.

Fa’arodo told star sport yesterday that his decision to remain with Hekari United was because he wanted to help the team play at the World Club Champions in Abu Dhabi.

“I worked hard to get to the finals and to win it and why would I let go a chance of a lifetime and let someone else take my place”, the national player said.

He said Koloale FC has given their full support and understanding regarding his decision.

“I owe Koloale FC a lot because they are the ones that released me for Hekari in the first place and I am very happy that they understood my priorities and they really respect my decision”, he said.

Fa’arodo has played a vital role leading Koloale to victory during the Our Telekom National Club Championships in May this year.

Star sport understands that Hekari United have written a letter to Fa’arodo a few months ago stating their interest in keeping him for the next season.

”I’m 27 years old now and who knows there will not be another chance to play at the world cup level; this is my chance of a lifetime to experience that, so at the moment I will remain with Hekari FC until after the club championship World Cup where I will decide which way to turn”, the star striker said recently.

Fa’arodo is currently in the country due to work commitments but is expected to join the O’League champions soon.

Apart from Fa’arodo, three other Solomon Islanders are still currently with Hekari and they are Benjamin Mela, Joachim Waroi and Gideon Omokirio.

Stanley Waita who was axed from the team has signed with Amical of Vanuatu whilst another of Hekari’s most valuable imports Alick Maemae has reportedly walked off the club last week.
