OSEA Kolinisau says he enjoyed his first outing at rover at the New Zealand International Rugby 7s in Wellington as Fiji thumped Scotland 36-5.

The first pool match for the national side was a baptism of fire for Kolinisau as coach Iliesa Tanivula started the former wing at rover.

The Namuka-I-Lau native managed two tries in the match and said he had enjoyed his first outing. "I enjoyed playing at rover and it was a good outing for me and I look forward to playing in the position in the tournament," Kolinisau said.

The Suva rep said while he managed a brace of tries, it would have not been possible without the guidance from up above.

"First of all I would like to thank the lord for giving me the strength and power to do my best on the field," he said.

"It was a great start in the first match and we started with a bang and all the players stepped up and that's how we managed to get the win." Kolinisau and forward Pio Tuwai stood out in the match with their yellow boots and there was a major reason for the two to have those boots on. Kolinisau said he had gone out to buy new boots and Tuwai had followed him and since they were room-mates, they both decided to get yellow boots.

"It is a like that we have things in common being room-mates and we both decided to get yellow boots and am glad it worked," Kolinisau laughed.
