PUTTING behind the allegations of bribery that led to a three-year abstinence from playing for his home side, midfielder Pita Bolaitoga is geared up to win a title for the Babasiga Lions.

When asked if the bribery allegations he faced in 2008 still irked him, Bolaitoga simply said, "That's gone now!"

Coach Epeli Levaci said he was still trying to hatch the combination, fitting in his nephew Bolaitoga and Waitakere United player Roy Krishna.

"We still have some way to go before we can say that we are truly ready," he said.

"But we know their inclusion will greatly improve our chances at the title."

It will be dejavu all over again for Bolaitoga who faced the bribery allegations during the Fiji Fact tournament of 2008.

"Hey, that's all behind me and I miss playing for Labasa," he said.

"I've played for Navua and won both the IDC and Fiji FACT and even Ba but it's time I came back and won titles for my homeside.

"I've played and won the O League for Hekari United and now I'm back.

"The remuneration I get is less compared to what I got with Navua but money is not the motivation for playing again for Labasa.

"I want to win a title for my home side."

Back home to bolster his Babasiga Lions chances is Waitakare United star Roy Krishna.

Spotting a knee injury, Krishna, who is usually media-shy, said that he didn't want to make promises in the media that he couldn't keep.

"Don't want to say too much in the media now because if I make all these promises to Labasa fans and I don't actually play, that won't be good," he said.

Krishna said he felt pain in his left knee while training with team mates at the Subrail Park in Labasa on Monday afternoon.

"I injured my knee during the New Zealand League final and I'm still recovering from this injury," he said.

"I shall know next week if I am going to be able to play for Labasa.

"Right now I'm only about 80 percent prepared.

"That is all I would like to state at this moment and if I do play of course I shall give it my best shot."
