SIX new reps have been drafted into the Fiji team for the final leg of the 2009/10 Sevens World Series in England and Scotland.

Northland centre Isake Katonibau, Ilai Tinai, Nadi's Semi Keli and Turuva Lumelume, Randall Kamea and Henry Seniloli forced their way into the team. James Brown marked his return to national duties since last year's Hong Kong and Adelaide tournaments.

Their inclusion comes after the unavailability of senior players Setefano Cakau, Emosi Vucago, Jiuta Lutumailagi, Niumaia Cakacaka, Nasoni Roko, Osea Kolinisau and Waisale Beci from the last leg in Adelaide and Hong Kong. Digicel Fiji sevens coach Iliesa Tanivula said they had to build a combination from players available.

He said the chosen players were capable of stepping up.

"Ilai Tinai is going to cover the play maker's role. He has the potential and has proven himself at that position," Tanivula said.

"Now is the time to be focusing on younger and more capable players.

"I know these players can perform."

Tanivula said towering forward Pio Tuwai and utility Watisoni Votu would boost the inexperienced backline as rovers. Kamea will be on the wing.

He added they wanted to end the season on a high note.
