Timber rights hearing allowance

E-mail Print

Dear Editor - This is an open question and letter to the Leadership Code Commission, the CID unit of the RSIP and the general public of the Western Province.

Is it lawful for the Western Province Executive to be paid by logging companies $7000 per sitting for timber rights hearings, plus travel expenses?

One was held at Vonunu on Monday/Tuesday and another in Marovo on Wednesday and Thursday.

Can one have an objective view when you are paid by the applicant?

So those in the Wes if your provincial member is an executive member of the Lilo Government they are now $14,000 plus richer!
