DEAR EDITOR – I will be most grateful if you could kindly allow me space in your editorial column to express my feeling on the above potent subject published in the recent issues of the local newspapers.
In fact, I read with great envy and tenacity the views expressed by Messrs Daukalia and Ramo on the labour and sacrifice of Malaitan genius which tantamount to both the economic and political development of Solomon Islands.
In the same spirit, I applaud you both for you infinite wisdom and resolute honesty. Indeed, I share your sentiments and your testimonies are held on high.
Your messages are well taken and any reasonable leader should not take them lightly, but rather give them ultimate consideration.
Remember, blood had been shed and the same old biblical curse shall not be denied from taking its divine course.
Personally, I hope to live and see the day in which Solomon Islands will live in peaceful co-existence with an Autonomous/or Independent State of Malaita or recast ourselves into the sea of despair and succumb into another civil strife for greater than the recent one.
May the Eagle soar ever higher.
