DEAR EDITOR – The big bold letters caption on the front page of Star-4145 of 21/01/2010 must not go unnoticed and certainly deserves commenting.
I for one would also like to thank the Police for that successful raid which stemmed from some sort of reports according to that article.
In the last paragraph it said, and I quote: “The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Honiara City Police and other Police units will continue to target theft and theft related offences in and around Honiara as we do not tolerate people stealing property from others in our community,” Mr Kanabaea said.
Well said Mr Kanabaea. I must commend you and your staff for your good job.
What we the taxpayers would also really like to see is that same whip you have used against that City Motel must also be used against those slippery eel logging cartels.
Who knows if they have been practicing those tactics on many occasions in the past?
And while I appreciate the job well done by the police, I must also appreciate in advance a job well done in apprehending those Asian loggers who have tried to steal our properties through illegal means.
I am looking forward to their arrest and they must also face the same music as that City Motel owner.
Where there is a crime, there must be justice. I repeat “WHERE THERE IS A CRIME, THERE MUST BE JUSTICE”.
Righteousness and fair justice to all is what God wants, righteousness in our justice system, righteousness in judging against injustices, righteousness in judging cases without fear or favour.
Righteousness and fair justice in arresting criminals without fear or favour.
May I leave with these words of wisdom: “There is abundant wealth in this nation and foreigners know it too well, but the injustices committed against our own poor people have only brought poverty upon us” Prov.10:15.
“It is not right to favour the guilty Asian company” Prov.18:5.
To whistle blowers: “Someone who holds back the truth causes trouble, but one who openly criticises works for peace, Prov.10:10gnb.
“He knows when we are denied the rights he gave us” Lam.3:35, especially the landowners.
And also, “God’s curse on anyone who deprives the poor landowners of their rights” Deut.27:19.
Thank you Customs Officers in advance for arresting those Tubi log thieves and corrupt officials.
Fair justice for all please!
We are on the war path against corruptions, so let’s make 2010 our starting point.
“To the corrupt, let it be known, you will now be part of history,” by President Barak Obama.
Long live our law enforcers and let justice prevail.
