DEAR EDITOR – I would be grateful if you could allow a space on your editoral column to share my views on the Noel Fulaburi case.
I would to like to thank and support the "Big Haul " article by Henry.A.Daukalia on issue.4156.whilst indeed Solomon Star is doing a fine job in informing the public.
It seems that the Big Haul case is getting a lot of media publicity almost becoming similar to the Moti case.
As a younger brother of Noel, I too, cannot tolerate some of the recent media reports on the recent allegations against him.
This includes the alleged so called break- in to the shop owned by Amon Abuki.
It is only clear that some element within the Solomon Islands Police Force have personal grudges against Noel.
I would like to call on Amon Abuki to come out to the media and tell us when did Noel go and break in his shop.
Noel is a local business man just like Amon Abuki who is busy with daily operations of his business (a 24 hours business).
So what time of the day did Noel went and break-in to this shop?
Whilst we thank the police involved in the case for the work done, but it seems that these officers are trying their best to put more allegations against Noel.
What na Noel duim lo iufala tumas ya, iufala laek oslem lo hem ya?
I too, would like to share the same sentiments that Brother Henry Daukalia has shared.
What about the Asian business men who are illegally harvesting our logs, the illegal smuggling of our dolphins, the selling of pirated cds in the Chinese shops, or the so-called “Big Fish”?
What are your recent developments or how far is your progress on these cases?
We, the populace of Solomon Islands would like to be updated on these cases too.
The people of Solomon Islands too are still waiting for this same justice to be mooted on these offenders.
What time? Why is this particular case (Big Haul) getting a lot of media publicity? What about the “Big Fish”?
Try and remove the log from your eyes so that you can see clearly and remove the spec from your fellow countrymen.
Noel is just a small businessman trying to run his business but it seems the police are putting more of their effort for him to face justice.
Hem baka lo Solo nomoa yia. Waswe na olketa foreigners wea stilim millions of dollars and resources blo iumi olkeata Solomon Islalanders yia?
Does this so-called fair justice apply for the crimes they committed?
As Henry Daukalia has stated,” if there is a crime, there must be justice”.
And as this famous saying goes, “no one is above the law”.
So please officers who are involved in this case, be fair to all.
