I was dumbfounded by his appointment. If his appointment, as claimed by Marco, was manipulated by his brother Pr Johnny Tango, then by all means it is a slap on the face of all of the senior secondary teachers who have been loyal in serving the SDA Education system and its mission.
Aren’t there capable senior teachers within the rank and file of the SDA education system?
One of such senior secondary teachers deserves to fill the position. It is amazing, why the Solomon Islands SDA Mission administration or whoever is responsible in appointing him, has to appoint someone who has never been in the SDA education system rank and file to occupy a senior position within the most prestige Secondary school of the SDA Church.
Rumours had it that he has failed to fulfil his role and duties required by the office. Has the SDA Church Administration gone out of its policies in such appointment?
Or is this the trend now where officers within the Solomon Islands SDA Mission to appoint their brothers, wantoks and relatives.
There has already enough damage inflicted to the good reputation of Betikama College due some recent controversial appointments and dismissal.
Evidence of it is still seen in the ongoing rift between the College staff.
The appointment of Charlie Tango to the deputy’s post is an icing to the rift.
Rumours had it that both brothers are seriously engaging themselves campaigning.
One for political position (MP for Rennel Bellona), the other is for the Solomon Islands SDA Mission’s President Position that will be vacant at the end of this year!
