No one knows what actually attracted them to contest in the election.
Many of them perhaps have good reasons to be members of Parliament, while some are trying their best to get into Parliament just to get a share of the free money handouts.
And I can also guess that there are those that want to get in in order to persue their own agenda or interests.
Such people in my view should not be given any chance to get into parliament because they will create chaos in Parliament.
A government can only fulfill its tasks without problems if it runs by people who are honest, those who have commitments and those that have concerns of the people they represent in Parliament.
I have also said sometime ago that Solomon Islands government needs a good leader and not a leader that is being supported by thugs and hooligans.
You just look back to what happened in April 2006. If we are not careful who we vote to lead the next government during the next four years, history will repeat itself.
So my fellow country men and women do not think heavily on what the political parties are promising because they are not new.
What we must do is look at the back grounds and the personalities of the candidates, who are contesting.
Forget about voting wantoks, church members and those that have promised you a lot of things.
Look for the candidate you can trust.
One thing is for sure and that is, if the same person or persons doing the same job, you will expect things will be the same, nothing will change.
The government has been going through lots of problems because of the same people with the same style of governing.
Its now time for a change.
Think before you cast your votes on a candidate. What you receive during the campaign period is only for a short term.
