Stop childish things

E-mail Print
Dear Editor – Let this be known to everyone that we don’t have time for childish things.

Let us get focus now and continue the good work of building our beloved nation.

From parliament leaders right down to rural dwellers who govern their daily lives in a very simple way.

You have to believe this that when you keep doing what is right, you forgot about all wrongs. In basic, that is a way forward. This must gradually take its place in our lives now.

This important process of putting new leaders in the parliament is all part of the gradual stages to making further changes to better in Solomon Islands.

To all our beloved leaders, be responsible for the people who freely chose you into the parliament.

Know this that your people will judge you on what you can build and not what you destroy.

And if you attempting to rule this nation with deceit and corruption, you are on the wrong side of the history and circumstances will not give way for you.

The time has come to set aside childish things. And we don’t have time to fight over who will be the next Prime Minister, what parties who belong, our ethnicity, credibility of voted leaders, the past failures and blaming each other for this and that.

We have spent more time and energy on unnecessary things that cost our country’s money and lives.

A childish game we formulate unrelated ideas and spend our time to argue over it. This trend will continue until we decided to stop this once and for all.

We must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and began the work of remaking Solomon Islands.

I like this whole idea of cooperation in this transition to form a new Government in ignorance of lobbying and jumping from here and there.

Stop this childish way of protecting narrow interest and putting off unpleasant decision.

Our country is way below and we must only work together to restore our confidence, unity and progress to eventually harvest prosperity and blessing over this nation.

I would like to commend the leaders that felt the situation and hardship of fellow Solomon Islanders.

You are voted there and in your sincerity and truth, stand for what is righteous in forming this new leadership.

Let this be a new chapter you have taken to be told of to future generation.

Let us be united and refocus in telling the outside world that in the midst of our hardship, in this important stage of rebuilding our nation we refuse to give up no matter what may come our way.

And with our eyes fixed on the horizon, let us all work together and deliver this precious gift of better Solomon Islands to the future Solomons.

God bless Solomon Islands.
