Talo wants new gov’t

E-mail Print
Dear Editor – Allow me space to comment on Saxon Talo’s media outburst and uncalled for condemnation on Dr Dereck Sikua’s CNURA government and his personal dislike for elements of CNURA forming the next government. (SS issue No. 4321, dated 17/08/10, pg. 2)

His outlined reason being (1) PM Sikua and CNURA failed to address bona fide demands of Guadalcanal (2) CNURA government failed and neglect people of Guadalcanal (3) New MPs must learned from past government and (4) Hon. Derick Sikua should not allowed to lead the country. .

This statement does not speak well of the person Saxon Talo really is and the position he holds if he is a true Church leader and responsible citizen.

In fact it shows how poor and ignorant Mr Saxon Talo of political issues and process.

It also show grave disrepute and tarnishing the good image of the position he holds and the denomination he belongs, should he really a true SSEC Church Bible teacher and Christian.

In fact the Church Board should discipline or better sank Mr Talo from current Church position for making such insensitive and careless political statement that is not needed in such time – it is very unchristian.

Please Mr Saxon Talo the nation needs your prayers and not your political ignorance.

Further I am wondering if our Church SSEC is still after soul winning and evangelism and not pulled and fooled into politics and become judgmental on people and leaders and for worse ignorant – as was what Saxon Talo was exactly doing and also being out-played in our Church in recent past.

This is total shame and disrepute on the personality and standing of the Church in this time that nation and leaders need our prayers and support and not condemnation.

I am afraid what Bible and Church doctrine did Mr Talo teaches to our Bible college students at Onebusu Bible College.

On the other hand who are you Saxon Talo to speak on behave of the Guadalcanal people?

They have their own elected leaders and Hon. Derick Sikua is one of them, and not Saxon Talo.

The process is there and clear. Don’t speak like militant and ignorant man, because time for this is over.

Finally, of cause new MPs including you and me ordinary citizens need to learn from the past and contribute towards moving this nation forward in terms of socio-economic, political and spiritual development of this young nation and not make statements and judgments like person who never learned.

God bless our leaders, God bless Solomon Islands.
