Thousands of people attended the two-day World Tuna Day celebrations in Noro, Western Province on Friday and Saturday.
Organised and sponsored by Soltuna and NFD, the festivities included a parade, music and entertainment, speech and cooking competitions, children____s games and speeches by Premier Wayne Maepio, Minister John Maneniaru and Soltuna Managing Director Adrian Wickham.
Tuna day was marked every year on May 2nd and this year it was on Monday.
However, Noro decided to celebrate the event over two days on Friday and Saturday to allow everyone to attend the event.
